    C:windows\system\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm

This is causing my computer to go nuts. Windows/sites start flashing at a million miles an hour and I can make out the above info at the bottom of each window that pops up. The only way to stop is to power off.

Nothing of seriousness has come up with adaware or spybot.

    Help! Thanks.

Try restarting in Dos mode, run scanreg /restore, selecting the date of the day before the problem started. IE6.0 should be good straight away.
