Shockwave and Flash Ruined :(

    Hi guys, was having trouble with shockwave, kept giving me missing shockwave decompression extra error. Tried a number of things and couldn't get it to work, so followed shockwave repair off microsoft site. Go to last para


    To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented.

    NOTE: To follow these steps, you must have Macromedia Shockwave version 8.0 or later installed on your computer.

    Uninstall Shockwave
    Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
    Click Shockwave, and then click Add/Remove.
    Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the Shockwave software.
    NOTE: If the uninstallation process fails, continue with the next section.

    Delete the Macromed Folder
    Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
    In the left pane, double-click Windows.
    Double-click System.
    Right-click Macromed, and then click Delete.
    Click Yes to accept the deletion.
    Close the Exploring System window.

    Run Shockwave Removal
    Download and run the Shkwvfix.exe file. The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:

    ShkWvfix.exe (http://download.microsoft.com/download/encarta2001/tool/1.00/win98me/en-us/shkwvfix.exe)
    Release Date: Dec-15-2000

    Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to prevent any unauthorized changes to the file. The Shkwvfix.exe file removes registry entries from Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), and Microsoft Windows 2000. When you are prompted to restart your computer after you finish running the program, restart your computer.

    Follow these steps to run the Shockwave Removal program:
    Double-click Shkwvfix.exe.
    Click Yes.
    Click OK when the program finishes running.
    Click Yes to restart your system.

    Install MacroMedia Shockwave Latest Release
    To download and install the latest version of Shockwave, browse to the following Macromedia Web site:
    http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download)
    Read steps 1, 2, and 3 on the Web site.
    Under step 1, click Click Here To Install.NOTE: The Click Here To Install button may alternate between that phrase and an Autoinstall Now! phrase.

    If you are prompted with a Security Warning dialog box, click Yes to install Shockwave Player 8.0.
    Follow the instructions on the screen to install Shockwave Player.
    When the Shockwave Player installation is complete, a new browser window is opened and a Shockwave movie begins to play.
    When the movie begins to play, you know that the installation of Shockwave Player is successful.
    Close your Internet connection.

    Anyway now i can't download adobe flash player or shockwave, any ideas???? I have restored all items deleted from recycle bin, however when i try to install adobe flash it says has error with these files C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll and C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9d however both these files are there.

    try a repair of Internet Explorer(add remove programs) then try download
