Hey, i recently decided to upgrade my computer to be a more... Gaming Beast of a machine =)

By doing that, I also upgraded to Windows xp 64bit operating system and all the fun (yeah...) features that came with it.

Here is the problem. I simply cannot get Shockwave to work. I wanted to play a couple of games with a friend of mine but it will not work.

Here is the EXACT message i get when i try to install Shockwave player.

"Could not load the DLL library C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Shockwave10\gi.dll. This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

No it doesn't! Ive literally found the file, deleted it, try to install it, and i get this message. Ive gone to the shockwave site, downloaded the uninstaller, Did that, and then tried to install it again and still no results. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    Psym0nkey

Go to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder, in there you'll find a folder called Macromed. Copy that entire folder to the C:\Windows\System32 folder and then re-run the Shockwave installation and it should work.
