I am running XP Pro SP2. For some reason, for a little while now everything in my startup folder (start>all programs>startup) is lauching twice upon bootup, instead of just once. I tried some searching, but I couldn't think of any terms that were sufficiently specific to find anything of use. Does anyone have any insight as to what this is and/or suggestions how to stop it.

    Hi,
Maybe because there are 2 shortcuts for each program, probably one in:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp

    and

C:\Documents and Settings\[the name of the account in which this is happening]\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp...

In that case, the simple solution would be to delete the shortcut from the StartUp folder of the account under which this happens...
