I am planing to outsource a project to create a business application, a CRM like system. Few says C++ and MSSQL while other .net and MSSQL.

I would like to know what is the advantage going with C++

The system is going to be a web based platform.

The fact that you're outsourcing tells me that you should allow your consultant to advise on the appropriate language. The language really shouldn't be the focal point in my opinion. Identify your requirements for the program and determine if you should outsource to make, or buy an otc product. There are many 'crm like' solutions available.

Web based CRM means that you will have a database and a user interface in it's simplest form. How the 2 communicate (languages, web services, etc) depends on the requirements.

    Hope this helps a little.:)
