    hi guys,

If you have 3 pc's all connected to the same pop account is it possible to get all sent items synchronised between the same three computers?

    anybody done this?

To answer your questions, I don't know and no.

My workaround is as follows. I designate one of my computers as the "main" computer. On all the other ones I configure my email client to automatically bcc myself. Then when I receive the message on my "main" computer I move it to the Sent folder. When I know I will not care to keep the sent message and remember for "efficiency" I remove the bcc before sending.

Not very elegant, but has worked for me for years. If I needed to I could copy the "main" computer's Sent folder back to the other computers. Now that I think of it, I use a cloud service to sync much of my data; if I wanted to I could add my Sent folder on each computer to the list of folders to sync.

POP doesn't synchronize. It only pulls down data. It's not going to copy Sent items up to your e-mail server to be downloaded on other computers.

If you want to use multiple computers with the same e-mail account and have access to all sent and received messages, use the IMAP or the web interface. Using cloud storage may be an option for e-mail client files, but I can see lots of potential issues with that. You'd want to be very diligent about making good backups frequently.

Well, sure, IMAP is the easy way. :D When the "pop account" is also IMAP. :)
