The computer I use is on a network. This is a home network run by my boyfriends brother. Last Tuesday he was hacked while I was on this computer (the Zonealarm firewall was breached by he suspects the friend of a friend who had the IP). He rebooted without letting me log out first and ever since this a blue screen appears every time I try to shutdown. I found gator in the comp so used spybot to remove it. We have tried thorough scanning and defraging but nothing works.

    Blue screen. File name VMM(01) + 0000C0C1 Error OE:0028:CD000D0C1.

Then when I press return the mouse freezes and I have to turn the power off.

Have you tried System Restore in ME. If you have a restore point before the problem started, might fix it for you.
