Google Drive has a new limit for the total number of files you can store, even on paid accounts[/url]

Some Google Drive users have recently noticed a message on their accounts which says that the account has reached its “creation limit” and won’t accept any new files until existing ones are deleted. The issue was first highlighted by ArsTechnica, and appears to be enforced for both free accounts as well as those subscribed to Google Workspace and Google One.

Authorities in Germany this week seized Internet servers that powered FlyHosting, a dark web offering that catered to cybercriminals operating DDoS-for-hire services, KrebsOnSecurity has learned. New models of IBM Model F keyboard Mark II incoming

What's even harder-core than the IBM Model M? The Model F, the keyboard that launched alongside the IBM PC in 1981. After a 2017 relaunch, new models with the original layout are here.

America is facing a 20-year gap in life expectancy across regions

America is seeing the greatest gap in life expectancy across regions in the last 40 years. While most people will live to 78, some Americans are likely to die a decade earlier if they happen to be born in a handful of other counties in the US. Average lifespan has generally been increasing over this period as advances in medicine, social factors, and quality of life have helped people live longer, however, many Americans have not seen this benefit. As a result some Americans are actually dying far younger than they used to. While life may be unequal, death should not be.

How AI could disrupt video-gaming

ai is now disrupting the industry that helped bring it into being. Every part of entertainment stands to be affected by generative ai, which digests inputs of text, image, audio or video to create new outputs of the same. But the games business will change the most, argues Andreessen Horowitz, a venture-capital (VC) firm. Games’ interactivity requires them to be stuffed with laboriously designed content: consider the 30 square miles of landscape or 60 hours of music in “Red Dead Redemption 2”, a recent cowboy adventure.

American IQ Scores Have Rapidly Dropped, Proving the 'Reverse Flynn Effect'

Americans’ IQ scores are trending in a downward direction. In fact, they’ve been falling for over a decade.

According to a press release, in studying intelligence testing data from 2006 to 2018, Northwestern University researchers noticed that test scores in three out of four “cognitive domains” were going down. This is the first time we’ve seen a consistent negative slope for these testing categories, providing tangible evidence of what is known as the “Reverse Flynn Effect.”

28 State AGs Urge Congress To Pass Stalled ‘Right To Repair’ Bills

“The Right-to-Repair is a bipartisan issue that impacts every consumer, household, and farm in a time of increasing inflation. It is about ensuring that consumers have choices as to who, where, when and at what cost their vehicles can be repaired. It is about ensuring that farmers can repair their tractors for a reasonable price and quickly enough to harvest their crops.”
