Whenever I receive an email with photos attached I would normally just click "view slideshow" and the pictures would be displayed in larger sized displays with a sequential display of all the photos. All of a sudden this silverlight shows up and we can no longer view a slideshow of photos.
we can only download this silverlight repeatedly and close our browser as required and then restart and click on the photos and once again get DOWNLOAD SILVERLIGHT . I did this today 4 times on my vista laptop downloaded and restarted the computer and each time I try to hit slideshow I(n) once again get download silverlight. I thought perhaps it was only allergic to my vista program so I tried it repeatedly on my 8.1 Acer and 3 times in a row I went through the required procedure of downloading and restarting the program and trying to click slideshow on the photos and once again am told to download silverlight. So I cannot use this silverlight (if it actually exists) and am now blocked from moving the photos to my Picasa account to actually get a good look at the photos.
It seems to me that every time MS takes a step forward (Silverlight as an example and MS8 and MS8.1 as another example it turns out to be a giant leap backwards). In my opinion windows XP and MS and also windows 7 were all superior systems to this new 8 and 8.1.
