I have a HP 9800 configurable pc with a cd-writer. When ever I try to burn music from either my own cd collection or from an on-line source the burned cd plays a little slow. Is this a common problem and is there a common solution? I use the Adaptec easy CD creator 4 program that came with my pc. Thanks for any help.

That's a pretty unusual problem. Speeds are pretty uniform and controlled.

Have you tried playing a burned CD in another player, or just one?

How about when the CD is played on your computer with Windows Media Player---does it still sound slow?

Thanks for the quick reply, Elvandil. I just tried to play a store bought CD in my pc player and it is slow. So that means my CD righter is defective then?

Yeh, it sounds like it's your drive all right. Hopefully, you are still under warranty.
