    Hello,

I have recently installed the free AVG anti-virus software from grisoft.

Can anyone please tell me, in the E-Mail Scanner section should I tick the box that says 'Use Outlook Express 5 Plugin'

    I have two OS.

    Windows 98SE
    Windows XP pro
    Internet Explorer 6 on both.

    Thanks for your help

    Cinders.

Do you use outlook as your e-mail device?

I don't use outlook, too many problems with it IMO, but I believe that it is a scanner for incoming e-mails via Outlook. So I personnaly would trust anything that AVG says it needs. :)

    Hello again,

It is a check box in the E-Mail Scanner configuration panel.

I have not got it checked and was wondering if it should be checked because I use Outlook Express.

    Regards

Yes, check it to allow AVG to scan incoming/outgoing e-mails in Outlook Express.

    Thank you.

You have helped two people as my friend has been trying to find an answer to the same question.
