    Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new Dell laptop Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7 64-bit, Pentium(R) Dual core CPU T4200 @ 2.0GHz (2CPU's), 4096MB RAM. The graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330

The main problem is that the Sims 3 game wont load on it. I put it in and I can hear it whizzing round however nothing happens and it doesnt recognise it. There are no error messages or anything.

I have used the game on a previous Dell laptop and it worked fine so the game is alright, also, I have played other games on my new laptop and its fine. On the other hand it doesnt recognise certain DVD's either. I thought the spec of my laptop was adequate for the Sims 3 but I could be wrong. Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

What happens when you double-click on the DVD drive letter in Computer?

Ok so I got it to load and it worked fine thanks. Now the problem is I cant get it to recognise the disk again, even though Iv been through the setup process and played the game once. Iv tried double clicking on the D: drive in my computer but the laptop just ejects the game on its own now.

    Any more ideas? Thanks
