    Hi
I am trying to assist a friend with her Sims Game
She has Sims and all expansions Except Deluexe

Here is the message she is getting

Any ideas on how to fix it are great

Here's the error messages I was getting getting:
    >
    > "Sims exe - Bad Image The application or DLL C:WINNT\DCIMAN32.dll is not a
    > valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."
    > After clicking OK this message pops up: "Fatal Error! Game cannot be
    started
    > because: DirectX7 or Service Pack 3 for NT4 is required. It could not be
    > located." I downloaded the most recent
    > direct X, but that didn't seem to help.
    >
    > I can't get Sims Explorer or Make a Celebrity to work either. File Cop
    shows
    > nothing wrong.
    >
    > My computer is old, and very nearly full between my sims and my son's
    music.
    > Last defrag showed 15% available. I am running Windows XP and have 512 MB
    > RAM.
    > I have all expansion packs except for deluxe.
    >
    > I have lots and lots of downloaded skins and objects, wouldn't play the
    game
    > otherwise. I hadn't put anything new in right before it quit working
    though.
    > I'm always fiddling around with my game data, installing houses, etc. so
    > it's
    > possible I inadvertently deleted or moved something.

How much hard drive space (in GB) do you have left? The Sims is also a Memory Hogg. You should also make sure that you complete a Windows Update to ensure that your computer is up to date.
