Im after a vista graphics driver for SiS AGP - Ive installed Vista on my Dads Acer Aspire SA-80 and the default driver wont display upto the same resolution as the XP driver... it also wont display AERO (without glass) and it should - its only transparency that requires half decent graphics

SiS website is very poor and even when the Active X component works it detects it as NON SiS adapter - dont worry it IS....

can anyone provide me with a driver for Vista

    thanks

That's great. SiS AGP. There's only a ton of different ones.

Maybe it's one of these? http://www.windows-vista-update.com/SIS-Drivers-Windows-Vista.html (None of the links offer anything you can download apparently.)

If not, maybe you could specify which one you need a driver for?

According to the default system specs for the SA80 - it comes with the SiS Mirage chipset.

You may need either: http://www.sis.com/download/agreement.php?id=155942&url=download_step1.php?id=155942 UNIVGA drivers.

    -or- http://www.sis.com/download/agreement.php?id=155871&url=download_step1.php?id=155871 AGP(GART) driver.

Ok. Running Vista 32 or 64?

Never mind. There are no Vista drivers for 661.

There are no Vista drivers for that chipset. The lowest one that is supported is 671.

SiS site is poor (as are there graphics)
there must be vista drivers - im running it ok on vista at 1280x1024 and it says its SiS version 6.01 (21/6/2006) -

not bothered about AERO but my dad has a 22" monitor and needs it to go to 1680x1050 - the XP driver goes this far so its not the hardware

    You can try these: http://www.majorgeeks.com/SiS_UniVGA5_Graphics_d5611.html

But again, they're for 671. There are no drivers for 661. It isn't supported.

It looks like the UNIVGA3 driver for 661 that I posted earlier. Again, doesn't support Vista. (Despite what both dl sites said.)
