My situation is worse (see deck of cards effect below)...I switched back to IE, but still only work with 1 window, if I open anything else it totally messes up the first window. Text gets real big, and if I scroll down the page, it gets that repeated effect. Eventually it completely freezes, except for the mouse. If I can do ctrl-alt-del I saw that iExplore was running and I end that then computer works again. Or sometimes I see Rundll is running, or my Lavasoft is not responding. Most of the time I can't do ctrl-alt-del, and all I can do is reboot. It started happening while I'm in video chat/IM using Flash 9 and Java. Even if I just stay with the one window open after about an hour this happens and everthing completely freezes up. At one time I went onto Myspace and then I got a pop up from AVG telling me about a malignant file. I didn't have time to write it all down but it was in the WINS/temp internet files/IE5. I checked my virus vault and there's an unfixable virus from back in May that starts with JAVA and ends with zip, I think. Basically the internet is running real slow. And has been for awhile usually when I'm in Java. I had installed the new Flash recently, or I thought I did. Then the other day I switched to Mozilla Firefox browser and uninstalled the old Flash and installed the new flash for Mozilla. When I switched back to IE I uninstalled again and then installed the new one. I think I also installed that shockwave or Macromedia. I did get and IE error message about Flash at one point too. So I'm wondering if it has anything to do with that, or if it is a virus.
