I've lost my ability to size my photos when using Adobe Photo Deluxe. By this I mean that when I change them into jpeg files and store them and then go to open them up they all come out a standard size. If I want to scan three prints at once and then set up the jpeg so the viewer has to scroll down to reach the lower two images, it just won't work. The three images are all visible in the window when I open up the file. I know it must be happening in Photo Deluxe because when I scan the images my scanning software records them larger and I've got to scroll down to see them all. SOMEWHERE there must be a switch that controls that but I can't find it.

    Hiya

Are you wanting them all on the one page, say 3 of them? If so, having a look at the forums at Adobe. Can't give you links, as you have to be a member.

I assume its the Home Edition. Also, which version?

    Anyway, have you tried these:

A: I've never found a way to change the default. I have to go through the advanced menu at SIZE and do the photo size then the canvass size then position my picture

Q: I am trying to print a photo with text next to it on Kodak 4x6 paper and, despite setting 4x6 on my printer setting and trimming the picture & text to 4x6, the picture continues to be printed as 8x10. I have also tried landscape and portrait, although it should be portrait - neither worked. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

A: If you get no REAL help from the great guys on this forum ..as a last resort email me and I can tell you how I would do it. [email protected]

Q: I had a JPeg file, used it in Photoshop then saved it in Photoshop. Now I can't get it back to JPEG so I can use in Powerpoint. How can I get my file back to JPEG? Please help soon.

A: Saving in JPEG format is really an EXPORT function, which in most programs (Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, etc)is built into the FILE | SAVE or File | SAVE AS menu. Within PhotoDeluxe you can use the Guided Activity:

    1. Get & Fix Photos
    2. Save & Send
    3. World Wide Web

From here, go through the tab features to trim, resize (if necessary) and DEFINITELY choose Reduce Resolution. Powerpoint is notorious for assuming images are set to 72PPI and will resize automatically according to a pixel spread (resolution) of 72PPI.

The other manual way is to first resize and set appropriate resolution using Size | Photo Size from the menu, then selecting File | Export | To File Format, then selecting JPG file format and choosing the correct JPG compression options (I recommend a compression value of 6-8).

    Regards
