    am using windows 8,
    have a landline for all my local calls...using skype for long distance
    .when i'm on skype and talking......if i get an incoming call on my landline, it immediatley knocks me off skype.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What type of internet connection(dial-up, cable, FIOS, etc.) is your computer and Skype using?

    I would assume if the phone is on a standard phone line and Skype is on high-speed cable, one wouldn't interfere with the other.

    I'm not a Skype user, so I'll pass to someone who is that may be able to assist you.

    The Skype support site may also be helpful to you.

    Do you have a Skype premium account with a phone number? Have you somehow linked that number with your land-line? With free Skype and cable Internet, I'm not sure how else the two would interfere.
