My laptop fan has recently started making a quiet low frequency rattling sound when the fan is slowing down. It does not happen with high rpms, nor are my temperatures abnormal even when under high load. It is a lenovo y50, 5 years old. I got a replacement fan 2 years ago because of a bad bearing, so I really hope it is not the same issue. So 1) Is this something that requires my attention/should be fixed and 2) is it more likely to be due to dust build-up than a bad bearing because of it happening at low speed?
