First off - your help is greatly appreciated.

I bought a toshiba satellite A105-S4074 less than 2 weeks ago. The initial boot up took over 2 minutes. thereafter, the same time frame for boot up was as long. This lag also affects application use.

I've removed items on the desktop and other items that I did not need and reduced the boot up by 1/2 minute.

Is there any other way to spped up my boot up time - I own an older model satellite that was able to boot up in 30 sec.

    Thank you:confused:

Yes boot up should not take that long. My laptop can boot in 20 SECS, try and remove unneeded items from the Startup tab in MSCONFIG.
