hi im new here can someone solve my prob..
when i open programs like IE or windows folders, they will freeze for couple of mins and may display the "not responding" thing. also, the overall performance of my compuyter is really slow. i use a variety of spyware removers and most of them do not detect anything. (ad-aware,AVG, ect show nothing) the only thing i get is from spybot. there are 2 items that S&D cant get rid of. i tried to get rid of them manually by looking into the forums and still no results. pls help me.. the items are NewDotNet and Razespyware. heres a log of my HJT

first

please go to http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=1.0 and upload these files so I can examine them and distribute them to antivirus companies.
Just press new topic, fill in the needed details and just give a link to your post here & then press the browse button and then navigate to & select the files on your computer, If there is more than 1 file then press the more attachments button for each extra file and browse and select etc and then when all the files are listed in the windows press send to upload the files ( do not post HJT logs there as they will not get dealt with)

Files to submit:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\phl.dll

once I've examined the file we should be able to sort out something

and you have an out of date HJT version so

go to here and download 'Hijack This!' self installer. Save it to the desktop or other suitable place. DO NOT just press run from the website Double click on the file and it will install to C:\program files\hijackthis and create an entry in the start menu and an optional shortcut on desktop.
Click on the entry in start menu or on the desktop to run HijackThis
Click the "Scan" button, when the scan is finished the scan button will become "Save Log" click that and save the log.
Go to where you saved the log and click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" then Paste the log back here in a reply.
It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required,
so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

from waht I can see thought the main cause of your problem is lilkely to be having 2 antiviruses running

yopu have both AVG & Antivir

choose which one you want and uninstall the other one

I suspect it to be bad but want to look for other signs before we rip it out

  • Download WinPFind
  • Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"
  • Extract it somewhere you will remember like the Desktop
  • Dont do anything with it yet!

Reboot into Safe Mode
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Doubleclick WinPFind.exe
  • Click "Start Scan"
  • It will scan the entire System, so please be patient!
  • Once the Scan is Complete
    • Reboot back to Normal Mode!
    • Go to the WinPFind folder
    • Locate WinPFind.txt
    • Place those results in the next post!

That's why I want the wpfind log I can see a couple of suspect entries in the HJT log and I want to look for the others that normally come with them
I am guessing that the phl.dll is responsible for the pop ups but I'm waiting for a reply from the analysts which I normally get in about an hour

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.
