There is no threat in the log. The slowdown could be due to the combination of Zone Alarm and Norton.

Uninstall Zone Alarm and test the computer.

Norton is notorious for slowing down the procsses in the computer. It checks every file being called upon for processing, thereby slowing down its execution.

Reducing the startup load will help to improve performance and make that computer run a little better.

Click Start - Run, type in MSCONFIG, then click OK - Startup(tab). Uncheck the following:

HPWuSchd.exe

HPCMPMGR.EXE

P2P NETWORKING.EXE

evntsvc.exe

mstask.exe


click Apply - OK, then reboot.

If you have the power options in the control panel set to "Always On" and "Never"(which is a good idea), you can also uncheck the LoadPowerProfile entries.

If you want to research the programs in the startup list yourself, make use of the "Search" option here.
