When I try to transfer large files (~25MB Ape files) using the normal Win XP copy function it is very slow. It seems to get bogged down and sometimes just locks up. But, if I transfer the same files by using my backup software (Syncback SE), it goes smoothly and fairly quick.
Do backup programs use a different copy engine than the normal XP's and are there any utilities that would replicate this so I don't have to create a profile each time I want to copy a group of large files?
