I have a Dell Mini 9 that I upgraded with a 120 gig solid state harddrive and a 2 gig RAM. I installed Windows 7 professional and now I have jerky and slow computer response and video playback. I don't know how to diagnosis the problem to know how to fix it.

1)Win7 Pro. takes a lot of resources , 3GB Ram would be better, if you cannot upgrade further, if you have a Spare SD card of at Least 4GB (6 or more would be better) you could try using as a Readyboost, should help a bit
2)McAfee although good, takes up a Lot of Resources, you could try the Free Microsoft Security Essentials 2 (Released in December of 2010), it is rated very high and eats Way Less resources.

3)Try also checking your Start up programs , go to Msconfig/Startup tab and see what you can safely eliminate from starting up.

4)If you do try MSE instead of McAfee, make sure to properly remove McAfee first

Good luck and have a Happy New Year
