Slow/laggy internet/desktop; Adware?

    Hi! A couple days ago my computer has been acting really badly.
    It's very slow and laggy when it comes to the Internet and Desktop, when before, both ran fast.
    I'm also having a problem with A LOT of pop-ups when I use the Internet.
    Pop-ups are shut off (I use Firefox btw.) and they hadn't started appearing until a couple days ago.
    Really hope you could help! Thanks in advanced.
