Seems that I have to reboot the pc when the cursor starting moving across the screen slugishly. After the reboot it works fine till the next time it starting moving slugishly slow across the screen. Sometimes it will be fine for an afternoon, a few days or a week but eventually it bottoms out and to get the cursor moving fast I have to reboot. I have it set for a fast speed but not sure what is going on in my system.
You didn't say what OS you are running, but if it is Win9x, low system resources may be causing what you are describing. In my experience with Win98SE, if system resources get below about 20% it can affect the mouse movement. A reboot will usually correct it for a while, but the real fix is to free up resources by minimizing your startup programs in msconfig.
To check system resources, hold the Windows key and hit the pause/break key in the upper right corner of your keyboard. Then click the Performance tab.
Dirty mouse is not the problem b/c the cursor works fast after reboot. I have been thinking about gettingan op mouse since I have a few co-workers that use them and rave about them.
Thanks,
Jim
Then...you may have an abnormal program...try to reinstall your mouse...or check your PC for viruses...
