I am having problems with Outlook 365 running slowly. And also huge lag times when I type emails. I have no lag issues with any other apps at all including all the other Office 365 apps. Running the same software on a laptop with no issues. Any bright ideas gratefully received.

This is some what a known issue. The internet connection my be slow but or just busy.
Are you using POP or IMAP?

If you are using POP connection, the following may be part of the issues.
Also have you cleaned out your Junk, Deleted and sent folders?
How large is your PST file?

Imap, requires for you to access the mail servers at Microsoft every time you want to do something.
I just read the China hackers have hacked 250, 000 Microsoft servers.

As an addendum to Dave's points: do you have an archive set up for your emails? If so, where do you store the PST file for the archive?

Check for any additional addons for Outlook that can slow it down. See Options, Add-ins.
