Hi to everyone i have been looking at most of the threads which state slow startup.

I have also noticed most of you have:

    C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil\BTNtService.exe

as a running process i did as well.

my pc was very slow at one point so i took a look at my running processes by:

    Ctrl-Alt-Del - Processes Tab - CPU

    which i then noticed:

    BTNtService.exe CPU was around 49-51

i checked the web to find out what it was then i found the following information:

    Name: BlueSoleil Hid Service
    Filename: BTNtService.exe
Fix BTNtService.exe errors: Try a Registry Scan
    Command: C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil\BTNtService.exe
Description: Part of BlueSoleil Bluetooth communication suite. This software allows your Bluetooth enabled computer to interact with other Bluetooth enabled devices.
    File Location: C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil\BTNtService.exe
Startup Type: This startup entry is installed as a Windows NT, 2000, 2003, or XP service.
    Service Name: BlueSoleil Hid Service
Service Display Name: BlueSoleil Hid Service
    HijackThis Category: O23 Entry

all info was taken from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/BlueSoleil_Hid_Service-17299.html

So i then right clicked end process then yes

My pc was running faster until i rebooted my PC. The problem came back due to startup issues so i tried msconfig never found the file in there then i tried the following:

Start - Settings - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services

Found BlueSoleil Hid Service running automatically

Right click - Properties - General Tab - Startup Type (Drop down Menu) - Disable/Manual (Depending on your bluetooth usage)

Which solved my problem of a slow pc, it my have been the cause for some of you whom have similar problems.

I have found no spyware, malware, viruses on my pc which was my 1st step into checking.

Sounds like Blue Soleil is trying to find a device to connect to--any hotsyncs running? (PDA, phone, etc.)

I think thats what it could have been Blue Soleil trying to connect with my mobile phone.

but as you may have read i have stopped it from loading at startup my pc is running a lot quicker but i know there is a better way of doing this somewhere by using the program, to stop certain services running which i never found in the program. even though the program was never running fully.

normally when my bluetooth is on it pops up say turned on this was just the running process that was slowing my pc down which puzzled me why it was running without the Blue Soleil icon in running programs etc.

You might uninstall the blue soleil, and reinstall using a 'custom' option which won't automatically seek to connect until you tell it to. I don't know the blue solei app, but I would think that you could configure it to wait for your cue to start seeking...
