I suggest you stay away from all "cleaner/fixer/booster/tuneup" type programs, especially the ones that access the registry.

They will do little-to-nothing to improve speed or fix problems, but what they can do is damage Windows and break programs and wreak havoc with a computer.

    ------------------------------------------------------

Start HiJackThis, then click "Do a system scan and save a log file".

Save the new log that appears, then copy-and-paste it here.

I have done most of all you suggested, including uninstalling cc cleaner

I just have to get the updated versions of Adobe flash player/Adobe reader.

    Everything else is completed.

    Thank you

    Mike

Go back to Start - Run - MSCONFIG - OK - "Startup" tab.

Uncheck the SUPERAntiSpyware startup entry, then click Apply - OK/Close - Restart.

After you restart, don't forget to put a checkmark in the small SCU window before you click OK to close it.

Note: There's no need for the free version to auto-start and run in the background.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Start HiJackThis, then click "Do a system scan only".

When the scan is finished in about 30 - 60 seconds, put a checkmark in these log entries:

    O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [AvgUninstallURL] cmd.exe /c start http://www.avg.com/ww.special-uninstallation-feedback-appf?lic=NFVWSzItQUxZTUYtU0xLTFUtQVoyVUItNkdPS0ItSkhGTkg"&"inst=NzctNDc2Mzg 4MjUzLVQyLVRCOSsyLUZMKzktRjEwTSs1LVFJWDErNC1YMjAxMCsyLUYxME0xMEQrMS1MSUMrNy 1GTDEwKzEtU1AxKzEtU1VQKzQtVFVHKzMtU1AxUzQrMS1ERFQrNDQ4NzctREQxMEYrMS1TVDEwR kFQUCsxLUYxME0xMkRUKzEtVEIrMS1VMTArMQ"&"prod=90"&"ver=10.0.1410

    O9 - Extra button: Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe

    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Windows Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'c:\program files\bonjour\mdnsnsp.dll' missing

After you confirm that you selected the correct log entries, click "Fix Checked - Yes".

    Close HiJackThis.

Don't worry about that O10 log entry remaining there, as it's just part of the "housecleaning" of your log that I was doing.

Do the following in the order listed, and don't use the computer while each scan is in progress.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Start Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Click "Updates(tab) - Check for Updates".

When the definition files have updated, click "OK".

Click "Scanner(tab) - Perform quick scan - Scan".

If infections or problems are found during the scan, the number of them will be highlighted in red.

When the scan is finished, click "Show Results".

Make sure that EVERYTHING is selected, then click "Remove Selected".

If you're prompted to restart to finish the removal process, click "Yes".

    Start Malwarebytes Anti-Malware again.

    Click "Logs"(tab).

Highlight the scan log entry, then click "Open".

When the scan log appears in Notepad, copy-and-paste it here.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Start SUPERAntiSpyware.

    Click "Check for Updates".

When the definition files have updated, click "Close".

Select the "Quick Scan" option, then click "Scan your Computer".

If infections or problems are found during the scan, a list will appear and the number of them will be highlighted in red.

When the scan is finished and the scan summary window appears, click "Continue".

Make sure that EVERYTHING in the list is selected, then click "Remove Threats".

    Click "OK - Finish".

If you're prompted to restart to finish the removal process, do so.

    Start SUPERAntiSpyware again.

    Click "View Scan Logs".

Highlight the scan log entry, then click "View Selected Log".

When the scan log appears in Notepad, copy-and-paste it here.

Both scan results are good. (y)
It's normal to pick up a few adware tracking cookies.
I recommend about every 2 weeks that you update them and then run a quick scan with them and then remove what they find.

Is the computer still running slow?

    -------------------------------------------------------

I have no idea what this startup entry is, so I'm a bit suspicious of it and don't know if it's contributing to the slowness.

    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServicesOnce: [RWC_CLR_DAT] C:\PROGRA~1\R-WIPE~1\RWipeSrv.exe

Load an Internet Explorer page, then click Tools - Manage add-ons - Toolbars and Extensions.

Advise what the names are in the list, and which ones show a status of Enabled or Disabled.

Shockwave Flash Object should be enabled because it's an add-on like Java that's needed to access and view all the multimedia content of websites.

Unless you really need them to be enabled, I would disable all the Google-related and Windows Live-related entries.

If it's been a long time since you've run Disk Defragmenter, the hard drive may be heavily fragmented and need to be defragged.
