For the past month or so I've noticed that my computer runs very slowly, and I am experiencing several browser crashes. Occupationally, my computer drive will seem to spin for minutes, and my screen or programs will freeze. More recently, I've noticed that the windows support center will temporarily display that I don't a antivirus installed, yet I have AVG free edition installed. I also use Spyware Blaster, and Super Anti Spyware.

As a first step in advice, I am willing if necessary and it's recommended to reformat and re install windows if that would provide the most stable, clean, and fast environment. If I do this, then I'd like advice on how to capture my system in a "pure" state with all critical programs and drivers installed and updated, so that I might be able to just wipe my computer every 3 to 6 months and replace it with a clean system (if this is even possible)(can this be done with a virtual machine?)

If attempting to clean my system and getting running in a safe and stable manner is a better choice, then I have attached the logs as explained in the "must read" section of the forum. I have the dds, attach, and ark files prepared and saved to my system.

    Thank you for you guidance,

    Todd, aka Onceler
