After I lost my "C" drive, my system was reconfigured by a Tech with AVG free installed as before. I previously had
    2 drives - C of 80 Gbs and a D drive of 320 Gbs

As I was not overfussed with AVG I deceided to install and trial Trends Micro Internet Security.
Installation went well, untill after the reboot when I noticed a message in Windows Start up -

On checking various websites I was advised to run various clean up pgms for AVG, Norton & Macfee files
that may have been left sculling around. Still the same result.:(

" I was unable to catch the message but it inferred that 'Global autorun was disable and was being skipped ????

    Ran Hijackthis and will attached

3 entries are obvious to me as a Novice,, that maybe associated and are located in Lines 02 and 04 of the log
    i.e BHO AutorunsDisabled (No File)
    Global Startup - AutorundsDisabled
    Startup : AutorunsDisabled
    - OTHER elements maybe observed by a competent tech support person

    Help please

    Megabyte -

I was in two minds about WHERE to post this thread,

Is it correctly posted here or under Security & HJT (as I just worked out HJT possibly refers to
    Highjackthis (common abbreviation)

    SOLVED - :D(y)

After spending weeks checking the system I resolved the problem by UNINSTALLING Trend Micro
and changing to another provider. Spent weeks cleaning and resetting - nothing worked, timing and benchmarks
were always the same, Trent wasn't all that helpfull but responded to my many requests for help

Anyhow Installed Nortons 2011 - Temporarily until I can resolve why I cant load MSE - it fails with error code
0x80070645 during installation. see new post for that one as I prefer MSE to all others, especially the price.

Again Thanks for all your help and interest -

    Marburg
