    I recently re-installed windows. I'm running Windows 98 SE.
It was the original disc that came with my system.
All is well but the system appears to be slow.
I tried to run Hijack This but it came up with this message:
"A required .DLL file, MSVBVM60.DLL, was not found."
Can you point me in the right direction so I can paste the Hijack This log in here for you to look at for possible problems causing the slow running?
    Thankyou in advance.

Download the MSVBVM60.DLL to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder.

    Thankyou for your speedy replies!
One thing I forgot to mention is that the system freezes for a few moments when dragging or closing/opening pages.
I have done all the above and now I have run Hijack This.
    This is the log:

Norton is a big memory hog, so I suspect that is part of the problem.

You could also do with trimming down your startup load a bit. Read here.

I don't use HijackThis, so I'll let someone else deal with it.

First check and see if you can remove MY BAR or MY WAY from ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAMS in the Control Panel.

Then, I would run HighJackThis again and check and fix the following:

    O2 - BHO: myBar BHO - {0494D0D1-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWAY\MYBAR\1.BIN\MYBAR.DLL

    O3 - Toolbar: &SearchBar - {0494D0D9-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWAY\MYBAR\1.BIN\MYBAR.DLL

You may also want to Disable FIND FAST from starting up automatically.

Right click START then left click OPEN>PROGRAMS>STARTUP and right click and delete it.

Glad you got it running good!
    Have a nice day!
