I am experiencing very slow upload speeds (<1.5mbps). I have Xfinity blast tier service (150mb dl and 10mb ul). It will sometimes take 2-3 minutes or more to upload a pdf to dropbox.

I have tried speed tests from multiple sites and on multiple devices both wired and wireless. All have fine download speeds, but the uploads are as high as 1.7mbps and as low as 0.3mbps.

I have a Motorola 7550 gateway. However, this issue was still present when using a separate modem and router prior to it.

The same problem with two modems suggests an ISP problem.

If your modem is connected to a splitter that also serves the TV, remove the cable from the splitter and plug it direct to the wall. If you have better speeds then the splitter may be bad but also the signal may be low to begin with. you should be able to connect to the modem and look at the US RX signal. If its 20 or lower then you have a signal problem.
