My wife has an old laptop running Vista with a built in G network access. I bought and installed a Linksys wireless-N USB Network Adapter with dual-band (model WUSB600N) to connect with our N network. It worked quite well connecting with a signal strength of 5 bars (excellent) and a speed of 270 MBS. The old computer finally gave up, but my wife loved that machine set-up, so I transfered its hard drive to a Toshiba Satelite A135-54487 and reinstalled the N adapter.

Everything works fine except the N network connection which is now at a signal strength of 2 bars (fair) and a speed of 39 Mbs. What should I do?
