Mjcardona21, I am not able to find your laptop model anywhere on the web, but I suggest you try and find the proper drivers on the manufacturers website. The SMbus Controller issue usually clears up after installing the correct chipset drivers.

Just upgraded my laptop (Samsung NPC300E4C) from windows 7 starter to windows 7 ultimate.
Download MGADiag to your desktop.

Double-click on MGADiag.exe to launch the program.

Click "Continue".

Ensure that the "Windows" tab is selected (it should be by default).

Click the "Copy" button to copy the MGA Diagnostic Report to the Windows clipboard.

Paste the MGA Diagnostic Report back here in your next reply.
