Hello. I work for a small wireless dealer w/ 24 stores. I am not familiar w/ proxy servers however I believe they may be the only answer. The owners want me to find a solution to BLOCK sites that are not required for our day to day operations. They have a $0 IT budget so I am seeking a free solution. I have looked into proxy servers however they all seem to include a lot more than we need and seem rather complex to configure.

I was hopeing that someone in this forum would know of a solution where I would point all store computers to ONE server which will do nothing more then to check if the URL is approved or not. If it isn't display a warning.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

You could always edit thier host file, which would be a lot easier for you :D

Thanks for the reply fabez! They want a more central way to achive this. I found this site: http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-6181327.html which seems to aid in the process. But the ONLY thing I am trying to achive is the ability to approve/disapprove site. To your knowledge, is there an easier way to do this? Please let me know, thanks!
