So I contracted Smitfraud-c, as named by Spybot, and like everyone else I couldn't get it off. My computer was just going nuts; adding desktop icons, opening my browser, countless prompts ostensibly notifying me of spyware removal tools, and actually running these fake programs. I tried a few smitfraud cleaners and other recommendations to no avail.
Finally I tried using HJT to "delete a file on reboot.." and deleted the dll associated with smitfraud-c. I think I determined the dll file with the SpybotSD recovery listings following a scan, or something like that. Anyway, after I did this SpybotSD was actually able to delete the Smitfraud-c object. After numerous scans with all of my clean-up tools, they are no longer picking up any more malware.
I was happy about this, however things still arent completely right: Boot-ups take a long time (malware is starting up and initiating its hijack, I think), my home page keeps changing, and I'm pretty sure I'm seeing browser hijacker entries in my HJT log.
Security and cleanup tools that I use: SpybotSD, AdawareSE, Spyware blaster, AVG, windows firewall, CCleaner, RegCleaner, Windows disk cleaner and every now and then I'll run rootkit scanners. Here's my HJT log:

More problems again. It look like it disabled my firewall. When I click on the firewall icon it says "for an unknown reason firewall cannot be viewed", or something like that. And I got another BSOD while online.

    Thanks

I ran Vundofix today it removed some stuff. I also disabled my system restore service and that also seemed to help get rid of some artifacts. I haven't had any criticle errors/crashes in awhile, but my browser's still messed up. It was redirecting my searches now it won't even search with google. The only sites I can reliably get to are in my favorites. Bottom line, I'm still hijacked, and I just don't have the knowledge to go through the removal process on my own.

I've searched and read many threads, but alot of the fixes you guys recommend on the spot, are done so based on your analysis of each individual scanner log. And they're all different. Like I said there's some things that I'm pretty sure are malware on my HJT log, but I don't know enough to delete them with confidence. And with a messed up brower I have trouble even downloading some of these recommended tools, or performing online scans. For instance, my darn browser won't let the Pandascan work right, and I can't download the latest Java RT 6.0. Anyway. I need help.

    thanks

*edit* I don't think my Safe Mode is properly accessable. I press F8 and it just brings me to a boot menu that lists all of my boot devices. I have gotten to Safe Mode by exiting out of this menu by pressing F4, but it doesn't always take me to Safe Mode. Sometimes it just boots windows. Lately I've been pressing F4 to exit this boot menu followed by immediate F8 tapping to no avail, buy I thought this may have worked one time so I ran with it. Help Please.

    thanks again

OK.........................did I do something wrong? I know you guys are busy, but I feel like I'm being patient. Should I be posting logs on multiple sites until I get a bite?Anyway.............

Still Hijacked. I actually went ahead and told HJT to fix somethings that I thought were malware based on some tutoruials I read on BHO's, but it didn't help. Now I'm starting to get worried that I'm deleting negligible, or even good stuff, or that it just won't show up in a HJT log making it more invisible. Luckily I saved the first log I made.

    Help.

.......actually fixed it myself. I ran Fixwareout followed by Superantispyware each followed by its own logs along with a HJT log. Based upon what I read in some HJT tutorials, and any changes in my HJT logs following scans, I had HJT fix any unknown BHOs and two 017 entries that displayed unknown nameservers. My searches are no longer being redirected, but I would LOVE some follow up recommendations based on you're guys' expert analysis of my final HJT log below.

I'm kinda shell shocked now, but I learned a lot.

OK It's been like almost a week. Is my thread invisible? I would think the least you could do was post a "...hey we're really busy, we'll get to you ASAP..." or something like that, accompanied with a few helpful links. Just as a courtesy. This is really lame. I don't think I have ever had a thread go this long without a reply, in any forum. (n)
