Does it appear as a Icon?
If so, right click the icon and select delete.

no, it is not a icon. it is part of a screen capture that i captured with snippy. you can't select it. there is no way to move it or anything. i have changed my desktop picture and it is still there. i have thought about using desktop cleanup but i dont want to wipe out alot of my icons.

What file type did you save the screenshot as?

A jpeg or png will be just fine.
