Ok, I haven't had this problem for long, but when my computer goes in to hibernation, my monitor goes to stand-by or something, it won't come out. I can't click my mouse, press enter, or un plug it and plug it back in to bring it out. I have to restart y computer by pressing the button on the front. I didn't have this problem before because i had a screensaver that i downloaded from the internet that i guess had something to do with it not messing up. The screensaver was deleted, and i can't redownload it. I got it from http://www,go2sleep.be/go2slip5.swf . the regular screensavers on my computer don't keep it from happening. Is there anything i can do?

What is happening is that when your computer goes into hibernation, it is dying in it's sleep. That is why it will not wake up, it requires the power cycle off and on to make it start again.

This problem can have many causes, but the main one is that very little hardware and software actually likes hibernation or standby mode. Some PC makers have actually recommended not using Standby or Hibernation if problems are encountered. The mode is designed for laptop hardware (but even many of those do not like it either).

If it works OK, then by all means use it. If it does not work, then avoid it and use a full shutdown is often the best cure.

The issue could be any of the software or drivers running, or the actual hardware itself. The possibilities are endless!

is there any other way to avoid it? I'll go to class and then an hour later it has "died." It's really annoying when i have been working on a paper and it dies, luckily i save it, but i still have to restart my computer. I'm currently not using the hibernation, so i don't know what it could be.
