Help. I've been doing a lot of searching for an effective and reasonably priced software to occasional create and/or edit PDF. Thanks for any recommendations.

Certainly there is plenty of software (some is free) to create PDF files.

To edit a PDF is different however, and would probably need Adobe Acrobat software (not free, in fact quite expensive).

Even then you could only edit if the original PDF creator allowed editing, many do not.

One I've used that costs $129 (but way less than Adobe - $449) is Click to Convert:
    http://www.clicktoconvert.com/index.html?source=e5

Also, Open Office will let you read most Office files and then save as a PDF. It's free and actually works pretty well.

Sure you'll be hearing of others as well.

Not sure if this freeware will meet your requirements or not, but it is called PDF Machine White, and is found here http://www.freeware-guide.com/dir/util/printers.html according to the specs it can make, and edit PDF files. Scroll down the page, I think it is the second item on the page.
