Thanks to several posts in the Hardware Forum I found a solution to this error:
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled Tel Audio card
2. Updated Drivers
3. Unplugged output device from system*
4. Restarted system, plugged output device back in
5. Sound is back!
Thanks to all who contributed solutions to this issue. This is my first time using Tech Support Guy. I am impressed and grateful.
