Xpy.exe is diffused thru the most popular PC magazine , here in Europe.
It's a small trimming sw for a PC system, and I used it for a while.
When I checked it with VIRUSTOTAL 17 out of 36 antivirus programs identified it as a threat !
What is it , actually? Should I delete it?

Kind of you to say so but, I only found the page, I can't take any credit (or responsibility) for the accuracy of the content.

Having said that, the post I referred to seems convincing enough to me. Now that so many anti malware programs have to rely on behaviour analysis (heuristics?) rather than old fashioned virus definitions, there is always the chance that innocent behaviour will be flagged as malicious.
