    Hi,

    Update Java
Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
    • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u7.
    • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
    • Click the "Download" button to the right.
    • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
    • The page will refresh.
    • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
    • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
    • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
    • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
    • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
    • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
    • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
    • Then from your desktop double-click on the download to install the newest version.

    Delete bad files and/or folders
Use Explorer(RIGHT CLICK 'START' AND SELECT 'EXPLORE') to navigate to and delete the following files and/or folders (if they are present):

    Files:
    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst
    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\Downloaded Programs\MGTek\[Full] dopisp with Bonus.zip
    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Music\The Trews - No Time For Later.wma

    Now just exit Explorer.

So post back a fresh HJT log and let me know if you got all thoses files :)

    Thanks

Congratulations you are clean! Hows Your computer running?
Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:

You can keep MBAM if you want an do some regular scans :)

You may delete any logs left on the desktop.

    Reset System Restore.
If you are using Windows ME or XP then you should disable and re-enable system restore to make sure there are no infected files found in a restore point.
    Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer
    Click Properties
    Click the System Restore tab
    Check Turn off System Restore
Click Apply, and then click OK

    Reboot.

    Turn on System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer
    Click Properties
    Click the System Restore tab
    Uncheck Turn off System Restore
Click Apply, and then click OK
NOTE: only do this ONCE, NOT on a regular basis!

Here are some free programs I recommend that could help you improve your computer's security.

    Install SpyWare Blaster
    Download it from here
Find here the tutorial on how to use Spyware Blaster here

    Install WinPatrol
    Download it from here
Here you can find information about how WinPatrol works here

    Install FireTrust SiteHound
You can find information and download it from here

Install MVPS Hosts File from here
The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer.
    Find Tutorial here : http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Note: Be sure to disable the service "DNS Client" FIRST to allow the use of large HOSTS files without slowdowns.
If this isn't done first, the next reboot may take a VERY LONG TIME.
This is how to do it. First be sure you are signed in as a user with administrative privileges:

Update your Antivirus programs and other security products regularly to avoid new threats that could infect your system.
You can use one of these sites to check if any updates are needed for your pc.
    Secunia Software Inspector
    F-secure Health Check

Please check this article by miekiemoes about how to prevent malware.

    http://users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/miekiemoes/prevention.html

I'd be grateful if you could reply to this post so that I know you have read it and, if you've no other questions, the thread can be Marked "Solved" by yourself.

    Happy safe surfing!

I haven't had a chance to download all of those programs yet, but I assume it should be no problem. Thanks for all the help!
