Fongii:

Click Start - Programs - Startup. Is anything listed in Startup? If so, post the list here.

If I recall correctly, Windows 2000 does not have the System Configuration Utility like Windows 98, 98SE, ME, and XP does, so we need to deal with the unnecessary running programs in your startup list another way.

You appear to be playing on-line games through POGO, so that is going to leave your computer exposed to tracking cookies and spyware.

Right-click and delete both of them, as they don't need to load during startup and run in the background.

Tracking cookies are not a big deal. We all pick them up from time to time.

You should be blocking most of those if you have set Spybot to "block all bad pages silently".

Do you have SpyBot?

You can take an additional step to block more of them by going opening Internet Explorer.
Go up top to Tools>Internet Options and click on the Privacy tab.
Click on the Advanced button and put a check in the box by "Override automatic cookie handling".
Under First party cookies set it to Accept.
Under Third party cookies set it to Block.
Also check the box by Always allow session cookies.
After changing these settings you may find that you cannot access certain sites.
