Solved: "add or remove programs" in Vista home has disappeared from the Cntrol Pannel

    "add or remove programs" in Vista home has disappeared from the Cntrol Pannel.
    Where can I find it elsewhere?

    You could try putting add or remove programs in Search and see if it takes you there.

    Press the Windows key + R to open a Run box.

    Type regedit

    Press Enter.

    Go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\don't load

    In the right pane, right-click and delete appwiz.cpl.

    in vista "add/remove" is under "programs and features"

    Thanx a lot Haggie,

    found it & it works but seems to need to reboot after each remove.

    Do you mean to say that Vista has no add/remove progs. directly in cntrl Panl like in XP?

    It's called "Programs and Features" on Vista and 7.
