I just got back to normal with the help of Flrman1 in getting rid of a trojan, etc.

Now, after repeated scans with Norton Antivirus, the following 7 items keep appearing that Norton can't eliminate:

    5ubvog97d.exe Adware.Winfetch
    addit.exe Adware.Winfetch
    eclicks.dll Adware.Winfetch
    SEPinst.exe Adware.SideSearch
    uninstaller.exe Spyware.Apropos
    Updater.exe Adware.Winfetch
    WildWinTracker.exe Adware.Winfetch

Any help in eradicating these pests would be appreciated

I don't see anything in your log.

Boot to safe mode and delete those files.

    Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on and create a restore point.

    To create a restore point:

Single-click Start and point to All Programs.
Mouse over Accessories, then System Tools, and select System Restore.
In the System Restore wizard, select the box next the text labeled "Create a restore point" and click the Next button.
Type a description for your new restore point. Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup". Click Create and you're done.

What exactly is the order the order I should follow? System Restore, boot to safe mode, etc.?

Where should I delete those files?

Please refresh - how to boot in safe mode?

    Turn Off System Restore first.

How to start your computer in safe mode

Delete these files that you said were found:

    5ubvog97d.exe Adware.Winfetch
    addit.exe Adware.Winfetch
    eclicks.dll Adware.Winfetch
    SEPinst.exe Adware.SideSearch
    uninstaller.exe Spyware.Apropos
    Updater.exe Adware.Winfetch
    WildWinTracker.exe Adware.Winfetch

I don't have the info on where the files are, you do.

I reset the system restore, went into safe mode, attempted to remove the rogue files, and all seemed fine until I rebooted. Then all hell broke loose with viruses and adware/spyware, etc. I don't know what caused it, but, thankfully, since you advised me to create a new restore point, I was able to go back to it. After running Norton again, I was able to remove whatever was left, and now it seems I'm clean. I've run spybot, adaware and Norton several times, and all is well. Thanks for your help.
