Here's the problem. My girlfriend has a forum using phpbb (older) and my animated avatar works just fine. When I installed it on my new forum, using phpbb (newer) the animation doesn't work. I did ask her about this and she said, she checked yes to everything under the avatar setting. I tried that and my avatar is still dead. It'll probably work here too, but not own my own forum. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Ladyhawk0, and welcome to TSG.

I saved a copy of your TSG avatar to my computer and opened it with MS GIF Animator. There is only 1 frame in your GIF file; nothing to animate. Do you have a link to your girlfriend's forum with the functional animated avatar?

You were correct, I could not get to the page in the first link unless I signed up.

I think the problem is with the source site. I saw the fully animated original 100x100 pixel avatar. When I chose to resize it to 48x48 pixels, the pop-up window showed a non-animated version and the download link was for a non-animated version.

Maybe someone else here will be able to scale down the attached file to the site's size limit for you.

I would like it to be 120 x120 on my size. How do I get it to animate at that size? Thanks.

Anybody know how to turn this into a 120 x 120 animated avatar? My HTML is not good enough for this. Everytime I try to use it, I get an error message saying "The avatar’s filesize must be between 0 and 6 KiB." Thanks.

Click the thumbnail in my post above and the animated file will open in a new tab.

Now my sites error message saysThe avatar’s filesize must be between 0 and 11 KiB. Any idea what size setting I need to put in on in my admin control panel? I think that's part of the problem. Maybe I have it set too low. Because the only avatar that will work is one that isn't animated. Not sure. Thanks Ratboy.

    Hi Ratboy!

Issue has been resolved. The setting in my Admin Controls were way too low. Most sites are set at 400+kiB, but mine had to be converted from bytes. I kept moving the number up but not enough. I had to set the number at 500000 to have the right amount of KiB to submit an animated avatar. Now on to the next dilemma. Thanks all!!!
