Hi, can anyone help me? My friend is getting annoying pop-ups each time she goes on the internet usually saying:

Attention, Meinir Jones!
Some dangerous viruses detected in your system. Microsoft Windows XP files corrupted.
This may lead to the destruction of important files in C:\WINDOWS. Download protection software now!

Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommended)
Clicking 'No' opens a new tab to: http://sc.videofreeforonline.com/id/4912933/4/1/.
Total Secure 2009 is the software they're trying to get her to download.

The hosts file contained several security sites redirecting to 1.1.1.1, I've deleted them now.
