ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i cant stand this i have been getting this local area has been unplugged error when i was using windows xp and i changed over to 2k and now it just happened and i dont know why i have already got a new ethernet cable so its not that and my tech has already looked at it and he is unsure about the problem anyone have any clue on my problem?:mad:

Possible bad NIC?

If the cables good and the item the cable is plugged into is good (on the other side I.E. router, cablemodem, DSL modem) then the only other thing if you just did a new reinstall of an OS and have the right drivers is bad networking hardware on your PC side.

What are you plugging this cable into? If its another PC you know you need a crossover cable right?

just plugging from my computer to my modem and thats all as far as the network card goes i had that replaced with a new one i hope this helps
