Every time my pc has been rebooted recently, the signing in page for aol appears. Can this be stopped from happening and if so, how?

You could try using the System Configurator to see if anything pertaining to AOL is running at Startup. Just click on the Start button on the Desktop then click on Run. When the Run box appears type in msconfig then click OK. In the GUI which appears click on the Startup tab and look through the list and uncheck anything you suspect as being from AOL. It may be a case of trial and error till you stop the culprit.

The problem is solved. It would appear that when I was using a programme to speed up my pc I inadvertantly gave the command to activate the WAOL exe in the start up menu. Once unchecked all appears ok now.
