HI,
I have a dell Demension c521. A few days ago, I lost electrical power. When the power came back on, my computer runs, and I can get onto the Internet but many of my applications no longer open. For Example, In my Control Panel, when I go to Add or Remove Programs, I get the message:
C:\\WINDOWS\system32\rundll.exe

I get the same message for Display, Date and Time and more. If I try to open Microsoft Word, it cannot find the program?

What should I do? I have the disk to reinstall the drivers and utilities. Should I put that in??

Thanks for your anticipated help.

Try this fix: EXEFIX

Save the .reg file to your desktop. Double-click it to merge it to the registry.

Reboot.

If the fix only opens as a text file, right-click it and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.

That WORKED!!! Thank you. But now I have another problem I did not notice before.
I went to install a program and now I get the message that THE WINDOWS INSTALLER SERVICE CANNOT BE ACCESSED.

How do I solve this problem?? Thank you so much for the exefix. Will that work for all dll errors?
